Agniveer lost his life in line of duty at Siachen

Srinagar, Oct 22 (UNI): Army on Sunday paid rich tributes to an Agniveer who lost his life in the line of duty at the world’s highest battlefield of Siachen glacier in Ladakh.

The Agniveer has been identified as Operator Gawate Akshay Laxman.

“All ranks of Fire and Fury Corps salute the supreme sacrifice of (Operator) Gawate Akshay Laxman, in the line of duty, in the unforgiving heights of Siachen and offer deepest condolences to the family”, Army said.

“General Manoj Pande #COAS and All Ranks of the #IndianArmy salute the supreme sacrifice of #Agniveer (Operator) Gawate Akshay Laxman, in the line of duty, in the unforgiving heights of #Siachen. #IndianArmy stands firm with the bereaved family in this hour of grief”, Army said on X.
