Augment security grids in respective areas for safety of people : JK DGP

Srinagar, Nov 4: In the backdrop of recent target attacks, Jammu & Kashmir Director General of Police, R R Swain on Saturday directed the police to strengthen the communication within the ranks and augment the security grids in their respective areas for the safety and security of the people.

The DGP said this while interacting with police personnel in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police spokesman said Swain visited police station pattan where he reviewed the functioning of the Police station and also checked the details of crime records.

While interacting with the jurisdictional police personnel, the DGP stressed for adopting comprehensive counter measures to tackle terror crime incidents.

“Protecting the lives of people is our utmost responsibility,” he said.

Swain stressed for augmenting the security in vulnerable places to prevent unfortunate incidents.
He directed the officers to further strengthen the communication within the ranks and augment the security grids in their respective areas for the safety and security of the people.

The DGP said that all suspicious elements providing any kind of support to terrorist activities should be kept under radar to foil their attempts.

“Stringent action should be taken against the elements found involved in anti-peace activities,” the Police Chief directed. (UNI)
