COVID-19: J&K reports just 15 fresh cases, no death

Sgr reports 10 cases; Case tally at 453,652 death toll stands at 4,750, active cases reach to 138, recovery rate reaches to 98.92

Srinagar, Mar 26: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported 15 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 138 while no death was reported in the last 24 hours in the UT.

With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,750 and 15 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 453,652.

Officials told the news agency that among 15 new cases, 13 belong to Kashmir division while as 02 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,403 including 284,870 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 166,249 including 163,894 recoveries and 2,327 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 138 including 110 from Kashmir division and 28 from Jammu division.

With 12 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,764 which is 98.92 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 10 from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 01 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 01 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 02 from Jammu division include 02 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.

As per officials figures, 102,419 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,429  recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,628 including 304 deaths and 37,315 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,827 including 34,585 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,424 including 18,220 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,744 including 174 deaths and 21,569 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,4227 including 22,201 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,686 cases including 13,567 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,542 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,318 including 16,198 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,244 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 76,175 including 74,931 recoveries and 1,223 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,767 including 14,618 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,807 including 12,558 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,529 including 11,381 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,411 including 11,244 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,086 including 8,961 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,894 including 5,848 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,740 including 7,630 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,138 including 8,069 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,702 including 8,654 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,284,093 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,987 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 138 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 5,779,232 persons have completed the surveillance period and 467,986 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 24,234,669 samples are available. Out of 24,234,669 the number of samples tested negative stands at 23,781,017 while as 453,652 have tested positive, among them 138 cases are active, 453,764 have recovered and 4,750 persons have died
