COVID-19: J&K reports 182 fresh cases, tally soars to 336,063

Srinagar, Nov 24: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday recorded 182 fresh positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,706.

The fresh 182 positive cases have pushed the tally of positive cases to 336,063.

Of the exact number of 336,063 cases, 211,166 are from Kashmir division and 124,897 from Jammu division.

Officials told the news agency that among 182 new cases, 149 belong to Kashmir division while as 33 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 211,166 including 207,426 recoveries and 2,282 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 124,897 including 122,465 recoveries and 2,184 deaths

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,706 including 1,458 from Kashmir division and 248 from Jammu division.

With 160 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 329,891 which is 98.16 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 69 from Srinagar, 32 from Baramulla, 17 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 11 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 05 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 33 from Jammu division include  11 from Jammu, 04 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 10 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.

As per officials figures, 77,022 positive cases including 862 deaths and 75,576 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,289 including 286 deaths and 24,635 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,122 including 23,802 recoveries and 210 deaths are from Budgam, 15,584 including 15,336 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,705 including 166 deaths and 14,425 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,662 including 16,438 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,959 cases including 9,797 and 104 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,701 including 10,485 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,510 including 11,381 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,612 including 5,551 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 53,382 including 52,297 recoveries and 1,151 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,436 including 11,290 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,318 including 11,063 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,916 including 7,768 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,348 including 9,193 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,163 including 7,041 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,828 including 4,777 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,514 including 6,405 recoveries and 99 deaths are from Poonch, 6,054 including 5,987 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,738 including 6,644 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 4,356,364 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,035 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,706 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 3,912,191 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431,966 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 17,381,922 samples are available. Out of 17,381,922 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,045,859 while as 336,063 have tested positive, among them 1,706 persons are active, 329,891 persons have recovered and 4,466 persons have died
