As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,43,945 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 6,450 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 75,456, which constitutes 0.22 percent of the total cases, lowest since March 2020,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 0.61 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 85 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.64 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 44 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 142.47 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 67.41 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 653 omicron cases with 186 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 167 and 165 in Delhi. (KNB)
