Moga, Oct 23 (UNI): A Kabaddi player Harvinder Singh was shot at by two unidentified bike-borne miscreants at Dhurkot Ranishas Village in Moga District of Punjab on Monday.
Senior Superintendent of Police J Elanchezhian said the 34-year-old Harvinder’s condition is stable.
He was shot in the leg. The miscreants had entered his house on the pretext of seeing pigeons.
The SSP stated that the investigation is underway to apprehend the accused.
In the early stage of the investigation, it has come to light that a person named “Jagga”, who is residing abroad, hired these shooters to threaten Harvinder Singh and dissuade him from contesting the Panchayat Elections (Sarpanch Elections).
