Kerala: Former student opens fire in school premises

Thrissur, Nov 21: In a bizarre incident, a former student opened fire in the air in a Kerala school, sending shock waves among students and teachers.

According to the police, 18-year-old Jagan, a former student of Vivekodayam Higher Secondary School in the heart of Thrissur city, came to the school at around 10-15 AM and entered the staff room. He drew out a pistol, pointed il at the teachers and threatened them.

The panicky school authority informed the police. When the cops reached the school. the teenager tried to escape by going upstairs. He fired a few shots in the air before the police took him into custody..

Police said it was an air gun and the boy was under the influence of drugs.

The District collector and senior police officers reached the school and told the students and parents not to panic. The police are questioning the teenager. UNI
